Menurutnya, pada era digital siapapun bisa masuk dan menjadi pengusaha teknologi. Tidak harus mereka yang memiliki modal besar atau jaringan kuat. Hanya saja industri digital di Indonesia masih didominasi oleh pemodal besar. Padahal kesempatan terbuka untuk siapa saja, mengingat data memang terbuka dan bisa dimasuki oleh siapa pun. Data menunjukkan sampai saat ini terdapat sekitar 26 juta pengusaha berbasis digital di Indonesia dan 1.705 start-up.

Dilansir dari halaman sindonews, Samuel menambahkan, “Pertumbuhan ekonomi digital akan membutuhkan dukungan big data. Semakin besar data bisa dikumpulkan, maka ini akan menjadi dukungan yang penting bagi tumbuhnya ekonomi digital.”

Sementara menurut Dekan Fakultas Ilmu Adminsitrasi (FIA) STIAMI, Dr. Bambang Irawan, MM fenomena big data ini telah merontokkan retail-retail besar di hampir semua negara. Demikian juga dalam hal pekerjaan, dimana sekitar 12,5% jenis pekerjaan yang hilang dan digantikan oleh mesin maupun robot.
